Illuminating Cat Blogger?
Our friend Caren from CatChat With Caren & Cody awarded us the Illuminating Blogger Award because we are (we hope) illuminating. As part of the prize we’re to share an illuminating story about us and pass on the award to five other kitty bloggers who illuminate in words or images.
We happily award this shiny award to those who illuminate in numerous ways.
1) zeezoey
2) Glogirly
4) Sparkle Cat
5) Tamago aka Gorogoronikoniko
il·lu·mi·nate
[v. ih-loo-muh-neyt; adj., n. ih-loo-muh-nit, -neyt] verb, il·lu·mi·nat·ed, il·lu·mi·nat·ing, adjective, noun. verb (used with object)
1.to supply or brighten with light; light up.
2.to make lucid or clear; throw light on (a subject).
3.to decorate with lights, as in celebration.
4.to enlighten, as with knowledge.
5.to make resplendent or illustrious: A smile illuminated her face.
Since we actually use the word enlighten in our Cat Wisdom 101 Website’s tagline: To Enlighten & Entertain Cat Lovers Everywhere, we welcomed the chance to explore the meaning again with fresh eyes. The word enlighten has a spiritual context which we aspire to but mostly we like to share knowledge with a smile. We love cats, know cats, work with cats and speak cat. They inspire me every day and just as well. Blogging seven days a week is a labor of love. I use the word “we” loosely. I, Layla Morgan Wilde do most of what you see here every day.
Over the past year, we’ve blogged deeply, passionately and consistently, seven days week with a different flavor for every day of the week. Like all new endeavors, we got our feet wet, made some mistakes, learned what made us happy, but more importantly what made our readers happy. We’re still learning and our door or email address is always open to suggestions. At the top of our page header you can find our contact info.
Mondays, we enlighten or illuminate with the tongue-in cheek musings of Merlin our wise, old Siamese or Mancat Monday with the rest of his furry cohorts: Domino, Gris Gris or Odin.
Tuesdays, is either a photo quote de jour or information on feline behavior.
Wednesdays, we often provide fabulous product giveaways but lately experimenting with providing giveaways on Fridays.
Thursdays, we have our vet the brilliant Dr. G. answer reader questions in a Q & A format or have guest vets post articles on subjects of interest to our readers.
Fridays is either Friday Funnies where we post cute LOL type photos of our cats or provide a fab product giveaway.
Saturdays, is Cat Saturday or Caturday when we chronicle the latest adventures of our cats and report any News & Mews relating to cats.
Sundays, are usually devoted to cat-related book reviews and giveaways.
Thank-you for allowing me to shed some light on Cat Wisdom 101.
Please note: All our content is original except for the occasional guest post. That means ALL of our articles, photographs and artwork are by Layla Morgan Wilde and copyright protected. We also like to enlighten at our other blog The Boomer Muse home of the original photo quote de jour since 2008.
