Blog for Peace 2026: Cats for Peace
Somehow, November 4 crept up on me this year and I completely forgot that it was time for Blog for Peace!
It’s a tradition I’ve been part of for years, and one I always look forward to. The idea is simple but meaningful: bloggers around the world come together to share a message of peace, using their voices and creativity to remind us that compassion, kindness and understanding still matter.
- Over the years, I’ve created different graphics to mark the occasion, usually featuring the globe and, naturally, cats. You can see some of my earlier Blog 4 PeaceBlog 4 Peace creations

This year, I’m a little late to the party, but I couldn’t let the day pass without joining in.
Meet this year’s ambassadors, my tuxedo cats Otto and Lumi. Otto is the big guy with the bright green eyes, while little Lumi has the most beautiful golden eyes.
They may have very different personalities, but they’re both reminders of something cats teach us so effortlessly: how to live in the moment, find comfort in simple things, and offer affection without conditions.
The world could use a little more of that.

Peace isn’t just a grand idea. It begins in our homes, our communities, and in how we treat one another, including the creatures who share this planet with us.
Sending a little feline love and a wish for peace, today and every day.
xo, Layla, Otto & Lumi
