We are most vulnerable when mother nature strikes as she did with Hurricane Issac. A few lucky cats and dogs found themselves not only rescued but catapulted from Mississippi to New York thanks to our favorite local shelter, The North Shore Animal League. They do things in a big way that is awesome. One kitten reminds me of a feline version of Toto from the Wizard of Oz. There’s no place like home. If you’re thinking fostering or adopting, now would be a purrfect time. For the latest updates and photos please visit the North Shore Animal League.
Closer to home, we had an excellent week. Welcome to September!
Merlin felt the once in a blue moon, full moon with hurricane force yeowling and then it blew over. Compliments from our vet helped.
Gris Gris had a hissy fit for 24 hours after being filmed for a special upcoming Vet 101. He has since forgiven Layla for being forced to be a star and will be signing autographs at the door and campaigning for equal rights.
Odin enjoyed campaigning for Cat Ruler of the World. It’s a hard job but somebody has to do it. He and Domino met for strategy meetings. They nixed the “catnip for all” lobby as a not being eco-friendly.
Stay tuned for Odin’s next political debate on Tuesday at Zee & Zoey
Meanwhile find a sunny or shady spot and relax. Stop by tomorrow for a special cat book review/giveaway and Q & A with the queen of cat experts!
