Wild About Atchoum The New Canadian Celebrity Cat

I’m at the shelter today plus working on a few other projects so our usual shelter spotlight is delayed.

In the meantime I have breaking news: There’s a new celebrity cat heating up the Internet. Atchoum (French for sneezy ) is a Canadian kitty who lives near my hometown of Montreal and my exclusive Q & A with Atchoum’s owner will be published on Catster soon. What makes everyone is so wild about this cat? The arresting soul-piercing stare and out of control furs and whiskers for starters. It’s not his fault he looks weird and wild. He has a rare condition called hypertrichosis which makes his fur grow faster and fuller than normal. His growing legions of fans are lapping it up and wanting more. Fans on Facebook and Instagram has passed a total of 45,000 as of today.

It all began innocently enough last year when Atchoum, a normal looking Persian was adopted as a young kitten.

Then, his fur began to grow. Fast.

Longer and longer…

Wilder and wilder but totally irresistible and I say: more to LOVE. Want to do you think about this special boy?

He looks gorgoeus..and I am glad mum is a groomer as I can only imagine the issues if he was not groomed carefully..bless him..:) loves Fozziemum xx

Hmmm. He looks like—dare I say—A DOG. I wouldn’t want to vacuum his house. MOL! I’m a littlle miffed that normal cats like myself are lucky we have 1000 followers.

Atchoum is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! We purrs that his condition doesn’t cause any other problems that might affect his health. Even as a little kitten he looked unusual. We hope his success is great and that his peeps put him and his happiness first in all things related to it.
