Hello, it’s Odin, taking over the blog today for National Pet Day. Whaaaat? Another pet holiday, really? Hisses…

Yeah, yeah, yeah, so what? There has to be more to it, right?

Ah, I get it. It’s about being adopted and being cared for by nice humans. If we’re lucky and play our cards right, we get everything we want.

And so by having this holiday we create awareness of how wonderful having a pet is. Okay cats but we’re a tad biased.

Of course it’s a good deal. It’s a win win for all. The cats, okay dogs and whatever pet you fancy, gets a home, food, treats, vet care, pets, snuggles and lots of love. The humans get in return unconditional love, companionship, someone to play with, talk to without judgement. Your secrets and weird habits are safe with us. You also get stress relief and energy healing. So celebrate your pet today. They deserve it.

Layla the shirts to support the Peace in Ukraine are magical indeed!!!! If we can carve out a bit of $$ we want to purchase one soon.
Maybe one in the future for the world? Lord knows we need it! Sadly the world is rapidly becoming at the mercy of mad men……………….
I cannot begin to comprehend suddenly waking up in the middle of a bombing raid or the terror of even going out your door if you are fortunate enough to still have one. I don’t know what I would do if something kept me from my babies and being able to protect and care for them. I don’t know what I would do in that situation. It is beyond my scope of comprehension and it makes my heart ache and my head spin to read and see the utter destruction to life and property and the absolute pain and disbelief and fear in the eyes of the people and animals. It is wrong and unjustified no matter how you try to put a propaganda spin on it.
It takes a soulless being to inflict that on another be it war or anything else.

I can’t imagine it either so I’m watching/reading less news to focus on sending as much love and light to all concerned. There were too many images I can’t un-see this week. Self-care is paramount now to gather enough energy to take action again. xoxo

Odin is absolutely right – we should celebrate our pets every day. My kitties wouldn’t let me go a day without spoiling them properly. 🙂 I love that they steal my bed too. There’s nothing like sleeping next to a kitty (or with a kitty on top of you).

Roxane, ask him. Tune in, wait and really listen.Sometimes cats like to sleep in different locations or rotate. I’ve had cats stop sleeping with me on and off for many reasons.
