To say we’ve been busy is an understatement. Well, that would be my mom, Layla who is burning the midnight oil but I’m keeping the same schedule as ever. Naps, num nums, cuddles, dreaming, sunbathing, walks and my most important job: being a creative and spiritual muse. Cats don’t spend time dwelling in the past but I think humans can benefit from looking back and to acknowledge how far they’ve come. It’s why birthdays and anniversaries are important markers.
While Layla was preparing her Blogpaws slide presentation she had to go way back to when this blog launched almost three years ago. Boy, did it raise her eyebrows and get her frowning. Oh the errors! We’re not perfect but we’re purrfectly authentic, and we’ve come a long way. We think even Grumpy Cat would approve. In fact, Layla will be hanging with most famous grump at her birthday party tomorrow. Perhaps the only person more excited to attend is Elizabeth Owens of Springfield Ohio. She won an all expenses paid trip to NYC and invite to Grumpy Cat’s birthday bash courtesy of Friskies Party Mix. Owens won the contest thanks to her grumpy looking black cat named Sluess who will not be attending. Come to think of it, neither will I and that’s fine by me. I have a very important appointment with a sun puddle and maybe it’s time to think about my 20th birthday later this year. Meanwhile, Layla will no doubt will fill you in on her Grumpy Cat adventures, and she better not come home smelling of another cat or I’ll be grumpy!
