I was thrilled to attend the event and like all the guests eager to meet Grumpy Cat, the Friskies spokescat and recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award. A casual cocktail hour preceded the event (image above) and offered me the op for multiple interviews including Shawn Brain, Friskies Brand Manager who said, “Friskies is always looking for new ways to celebrate playtime for cats and their owners. Cats live life differently, and have vivid imaginations. We think cat videos are a great way to showcase those sensory experiences.

As you can see, Grumpy Cat is not impressed with material things.

Comedian, writer and cat owner Michael Ian Black hosted the show to funny purrfection. Special guest Angela Kinsey, co-star of “The Office” and big cat lover, rounded out the entertainment with her hilarious cat “tips”.
