La, Laa, Laaa, it’s #Catsummer

It’s Caturday and we have something to sing about. Cats sing in their own voices. Some loud, some proud, some high-pitched enough to break glass or sotto voce tiny. This print of a singing cat by artist Megan Lynn Kott was inspired by the Oakland Cat Video Film Fest (click see our post and exclusive interview). We love La, Laa, Laaa Cat and it’s available for only $10.00 at the artist’s Etsy Shop Decision & Revision where she does custom pet portraits as well. Several other kitty art pieces were exhibited at the film fest.

Other cats singing this summer are none other than a quartet of celebrity cats. Grumpy Cat, Hamilton the Hipster Cat, Nala Cat and Oskar the Blind Cat – are reuniting this summer for the epic debut of their new music video, “Cat Summer.” This time the gang is back together to showcase their ultimate summer fun environments and bring the sunny season to cats everywhere.

They aren’t singing for their supper but paying their respects with a tribute to their feline campadre Colonel Meow who passed away earlier this year.

With every view of the video will equal one meal of Friskies Grillers donated to cat charities nationwide in Colonel Meow’s name, up to

1 million meals!
