We’re All Different But We’re All Kitty Cats – Book Review & Giveaway
The winner of last week’s giveaway for a copy of the excellent cat-care book The Complete Cat’s Meow by Darlene Arden is Connie Marie. Congratulations! Look for an email from Layla.
Sundays are wonderful for reading alone or to someone dear. There’s something magical when adults read picture books to children. The illustrations make the words come alive on the page and transport young imaginations to new horizons. Truth be told, I still enjoy reading children’s books to myself and have a greater appreciation for the art work now.
Cats are enjoying a greater influence culturally and cats can make excellent messengers for teaching children meaningful values. I thoroughly enjoyed a new children’s book We’re All Different But We’re All Kitty Cats: First Day at School by Peter J. Goodman and illustrated by Nicolas Milano. It follows a hairless cat’s first day to school in Meowville with a wildly different cast of cat characters. The central message being: we’re all different and that’s a wonderful thing.
The book is the first in a series of picture books designed to address timely topics from bullying, empathy to illness and loss. We like the large, hardcover format with removable glossy, flap jacket. To learn more and see the characters at the interactive website visit KittyCatsBook.com

I have always been an advocate of early childhood reading. It is so important for parents to read to their children, it promotes parent child bonding and instills a love for books.

I would love to win this book for my little boy who adores kitties, and we share time every night reading…it would be great to add this to our collection!

We totally agree about the eternal joy of well produced children’s books. This one sounds terrific, but we are not entering this time 🙂 xox

What a wonderful idea for a book … I would so love to win this to give to my granddaughter. The theme of the book is something that my granddaughter needs to understand. She is of mixed parents and has dark skin and her sister is blonde with white skin and she keeps asking why she is different? It seems to me this book would be invaluable to her to learn that lesson.
