Creative, Curious Cat Lovers #InspiredbyCrafted

If you love cats, sharing makes us purrrr :-)

This post is sponsored by Hill’s. I am being compensated for helping spread the word about Hill’s® Ideal Balance® CRAFTED, but Cat Wisdom 101 only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers. Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Inc. is not responsible for the content of this article.

Curiosity did not kill the cat but not changing with the times might. We’ve come a long way from nutritionally poor cat food of generations past. Many cat food companies have long disappeared but since 1909, Hills Pet Nutrition has consistently remained at the top by changing and improving their products like their latest Hill’s® Ideal Balance® Crafted created by a team of veterinary nutritionists.

Life is inherently risky. Without the curious we’d have no great inventions, no sublime works of art, innovative design or technology.

For the past few months, we’ve shared #inspiredbycrafted posts about how Hills Crafted is made the way you would, one batch at a time with authentic ingredients, while promising 100% balanced nutrition. Never any corn, wheat or soy and proudly made in the U.S.

Cats, being naturally curious have no need to learn the lesson of how to remain open-minded. I think it’s no coincidence that many creative types (who tend to be curious) favor cats. Okay, some dog lovers too ;-).The future, our collective bright future on this planet depends on nurturing curiosity for the good of all and that includes our pets.

My cats inspire me every day but working on this campaign made me rethink my abandoned Etsy shop and re-opened it with a dozen kitty art listings. If you click on the above link, you’ll see my less than purrfect office and always purrfect assistants.

Creativity when fed, keeps pumping out more creativity. While browsing through my photo files from the BlogPaws conference in Nashville, I found some images I’d meany to edit but then life and death interfered and I put them on hold. I think this one from Drifters, a BBQ place in Nashville summed up the friendly vibe of the conference. It illustrates just how short summer is (September is looming!) and how pets make our lives happier.

Cats, curiosity and creativity have been a natural part of my life since day one. I’ve always made things: crafts, art work, pottery, flower essences, herb gardens, you name it. In art school, I honed my love of painting and design but I’ve always envied people who can build things. I’ve made my own cat toys but what I’d love is to make is a cat tree. Now I can and so can you thanks to this video from Steve Ramsey (and help from his cat Princess Meow Meow). I hope I’ve inspired you!

It’s great those companies keep improving and changing for better!
That’s a great video. I’d love to make cat tree myself. I always admire the wonderful cat furniture Maggie and her husband at Sundays at the Shelter make for shelter. My husband made one cat tree while back. It looks very heavy-duty, but kitties love it 🙂

Wow. Such an incredible cat tree. Looks easy, but he’s got so much experience and the tools.

I think the saying goes Curiosity killed the cat but satisfaction brought him back!
Thank you for all of the varied and creative things in this post!
I often wonder about what made someone try something like food that had never been eaten or set the mind in motion to create something like the computer. Somedays my poor brain can barely remember my name MOL!!!

    Luvs to all,

It’s good food isn’t it Merlin. I was curious and tried a kernel of their kitten food, too fishy for me.
I believe your birthday has come and gone now, so Happy Belated Birthday!!
    You’re amazing!!
