Black And White Mancat Monday For Rocky
IT’S MERLIN and my bros here FOR A BLACK AND WHITE MANCAT MONDAY in honor of a special mancat named Rocky.
ALL LIFE HAS AN EXPIRATION DATE. WE ARE VERY SAD OUR CAT PAL ROCKY FROM CAT IN THE FRIDGE REACHED HIS EXPIRATION DATE AND HAS SUDDENLY FLOWN TO THE BRIDGE. WE LOST ALL DESIRE FOR COLOR AND TO HONOR HIS MEMORY OUR POST IS IN BLACK AND WHITE TODAY.
Life is careening forward at breakneck speed for our humans. Us cats would call it the hamster wheel of life, not that we would ever be fool enough to jump on. It’s enough to deal with every day health issues and in my case, staying alive. I’m a feisty, old coot who is not letting Layla get much sleep. I need my mommy. It’s confusing being old and blind. Luckily, there is nothing earth shattering to report other than my meteor-sized poop. Thank the cat gods for Miralax and our vet is coming back but not to see me but my fur bros.
Odin is under the weather, sneezing but thankfully with no nasal discharge or secondary symptoms. Domino has been reluctant to come inside in the evening. Cat dad, was up in the middle of the night opening the door repeatedly begging him to come inside. He’d almost enter and then dash. He’s such a daddy’s boy eating normally and has no other symptoms. Personally, he’s such a daddy’s boy, I think it’s a perverse kitty game. He came in yesterday at dinnertime without a fuss. It could also be a territorial thing. The monstrous Maine Coon was spotted loping up our driveway. We haven’t seen her in a dog’s age. Domino hates her and her evil twin. Not hate, hate like humans do but the shortcut through our property AKA Dominoland is not Kosher and may result in World War 3.
Layla is on overload and trying to figure out how to blog less and focus on other work. The problem is if she stops, blog traffic slows, so it’s the hamster wheel for her until the next big thing, whatever that is. My big thing is luring her into bed for a nap. I must say, I’m rather persuasive. I hope it doesn’t take my demise to make her re-prioritize. May I persuade you to take extra good care of yourself and your cats this week? Life is so very unpredictable.

Sorry about Rocky. Their journey to the Rainbow Bridge always seems to come too quickly.
Ms. Phoebe's Mum
Rocky’s passing was sad news to us too, he was a remarkable mancat and his Mom’s first fur kid which is a special relationship like no other. Our hearts are with his family, they are good friends and have been so kind to us since Phoebe’s passing.
We send healing purrs to Odin, sounds like maybe he might have some seasonal allergies? Domino and our Kaspars must know the same game as our former feral beastie boy has not been making good choices some nights either. He knows he must come in, but on especially hot days wants to stay out all night when it cools off. The stubborn mancat learns fast however when he misses the nightly treat, and shares his displeasure loudly come morning! Mom tells him no come, no yum!
We hope you can encourage Layla to take the time to rest for herself whenever she needs to Merlin, you are a wise soul who takes good care of supervising her. Purrs to you all,
Clove, Kaspars, & Mom

Love that, no come, no yum! Domino smartened up today. He knows which side his bread is buttered ;-0

We were by Rocky’s blog earlier. It’s always sad when there is another loss among the blogs. Each furry is precious.

I paid my respects to Rocky. So glad I’m not a slave to blog traffic and can make my own hours. Oh, CBS-fm news had a big story on the New Rochelle Humane Society and all the cats from the hoarding situation. Hope this brings many adopters this week. Here’s the link with the story and audio. http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2014/08/04/stories-from-main-street-dozens-of-cats-rescued-from-hoarder-house-in-need-of-homes/

So very sad that another kitty has left a humans heat broken..yes life is not always predictable and we must take the time to spend doing the things that fill our lives with joy…a kitty snuggle..a walk..a catnap..an as for traffic slowing ..well..people will visit whether Layla blogs once a week or once a month…the real world must take precedence..as it is the one we have to wake up to each morning…we hope all you kitties feel more balanced soon..and that any ills can be easily remedied…hugs and loves Fozziemum xx

Heartbreaking news about Rocky 🙁 I will go over and say a few inadequate words. I don’t think I have ever heard you say that Odin’s been under the weather before!! I hope he is ok And you too, Layla. Some time out for a nap or two might be necessary. We can learn a lot from our furries x

Caro, thanks, it’s been a rough summer for all.

So sorry to read about Rocky going to the bridge. Our kitties take pieces of our hearts with them. There is no one size fits all for our kitty blogs. Mom keeps saying she needs to post but doesn’t too often anymore, but can commit to stopping.

We are so sad to hear that Rocky has gone to the Bridge. We send comforting purrs to his human, Miss Alana.

We saw that friend Rocky had gone to the Bridge this morning in the email from the CB. Always sad to lose “one of us”……Life really is very short and all we can do is hope that each of us lives it to the fullest for the longest! We hope Miss Layla can find time to curl up with you Merlin and rest…..she’s such a busy lady and it’s easy to overdo……we send hugs to one and all.
Sammy (and Mom)
