Astro-Kitty Taurus & Oracle Cat Food Giveaway
Our Astro-Kitty poster boy Domino fits the characteristics of a Taurus to a T. If you’re not sure of your cat’s birthday, take a look at this profile and see if it fits. Taurus cats are born from April 20 to May 20. They are ruled by the planet Venus giving them an earthy beauty and grounded sensibility. Their ruling color is blue. Like all of the 12 of the zodiac signs, they have both positive and some less desirable qualities.
On the upside, they are loving, affectionate, often devoted one-person cats. Patient, persistent and focused, nothing will keep them from their goals whether it’s snagging the best spot in the sun or an unsuspecting mouse. They’re generally easy-going, slow moving, mellow marshmallows content to lounge on the coziest places. Yes, that means your cashmere sweater. They love the best in everything. They like the most luxurious cushions, the top spots to perch, the nicest food bowls, the best organic catnip and treats.
On the flip side, they can be possessive and stubborn as a bull. They aren’t the best candidates for leash training and won’t jump through hoops for anyone. If they don’t like something, they’ll let you know with their distinctive meows. They like, no love food, good food and lots of it. Food is their god. The whisker-licking gourmand embodies the Taurus archetype purrfectly but greedy is their middle name. Keep an eye in multi-cat cat homes for food stealing. Weight gain can be an issue, so don’t over-indulge them which can be hard because of their charm. One soft mew and you’re putty in their paws.
They tend to have attractive solid bodies and a thick neck. Their fur is thicker regardless of their breed standard and they love being stroked. Being sensual, they delight in all their senses, they can turn a simple tongue bath into a spa treatment. Massage? Why not, but no Jacuzzi please!

When a large bag of Oracle chicken arrived for us to test, Odin our feline products tester didn’t even wait for me to open the sealed bag. He clawed at it tooth and nail. I’ll be frank, we haven’t had much luck feeding raw or dehydrated cat food before so I remained skeptical. The prep was easy. A scoop of the food mixed with equal parts hot water, wait a few minutes to re-hydrate the free-dried food and it’s the next best thing to feeding homemade. Oracle is high protein, grain-free, human grade food with added vegetables, vitamins and minerals. I liked having control over the amount of water to add, making more or less “gravy”. Odin and Merlin liked it fine. Domino not so much but Gris Gris went absolutely bonkers and it’s his favorite cat food now. After endless controversy over feeding canned, dry or raw, crappy pet food ingredients not fit for man or beast or toxic recalls, Oracle is a cat food I can feel good about. I only wish this food existed years ago.

I am not familiar with this food but have fed many varieties of natural/grain free foods. Since my cat passed away March 1, I would like to give back – by giving this food that I win to a friend or an animal shelter nearby. 🙂

My formerly feral Moses was a total Taurus, from her thick fur to her mealtime ceremonies, definitely quiet and laid back until you got near her formerly feral boundaries, but always gentle, loving and devoted.

Oui Oui is a Taurus and we got a big laugh out of your leash walking comment. We tried walking her on a leash and it was so embarrassing! She refused to walk and it looked awful dragging her around. That idea was abandoned quickly.
For MMM’s problem, yes, sadly we tried flower essences and every calming product we could find. She’s one tough nut cause nothing worked.

My Burmese brother & sister are not true Taurus’s as they are on the cusp (May 24), but boy does Mia fit the description to a “T”. While Tito is a mellow fellow, who loves everyone and doesn’t care much what or when he eats, Mia is devoted to food but isn’t overweight (6.5#), lets you know when it’s time and demands kitty treats constantly. She is definitely a princess. She also is my cat ONLY. And, she is bullish about trying to beat up our rescue kitty Omar, who is twice her size. She bit him so badly once that it caused a huge ($300 vet bill) infection. She’s relentless about making him leave. So much so that we cannot let her be alone around him. Poor Omar, he just wants to be everyone’s friend. Oh, and my Dad and husband were/are Taurus (May 19 & 20, respectively).

My Mom says I fit the Taurus description to a T! We celebrate my birthday in July on the day I adopted her, as we are not sure when my true birthdate was- I was already a 3 yr old mama with 4 baby kits just weaned when we met. I take offense at the loving food part leading to becoming fat. I’m not fat, I’m floofy! 20 lbs is not fat, I’m just tall and curvy! Mewmew! I love fish best but also enjoy chicken so I would consider trying this food since it is top notch and made from the best. I refuse to eat tuna unless it’s Albacore, and fresh or from a pouch- not a can. Why is this being picky? Is it wrong to demand the finest when mew are Queen?! Mewmew!

Boodie is a pretty typical Taurus cat! Except that she can move VERY fast when she feel like it and she is the most playful out of all of us, so I get the feeling she has some Gemini aspects mixed in there.
