If you love cats, sharing makes us purrrr :-)

I love reading and cats are a favorite subject but sometimes other animals intrigue. I never expected to fall head over heels in love with a memoir about chickens but I did. Read all about it at my other blog Boomer Muse

Cats have long been a favored subject for book lovers and I confess to a passion for collecting vintage cat books. A stroll down a vintage book memory lane of the past 100 years shows there have always been cat lovers. An old sketch book by illustrator Peggy Bacon is a favorite as is the story of Napoleon a weather predicting cat.

Those all look really cute! I remember reading some cute kitten children’s book when I was a kid, but the title escapes me now.

Oh, we love those books! Our mom has always loved to read and she would have loved those as a child. She has many of her favorites like Misty of Chincoteague and The Black Stallion (she was into horses too). Great illustrations just enhance a wonderful book. Its nice to see you cherish old books too,

I love old books both for content and design and illustration, though sometimes their helpful hings are a little outdated. These are wonderful, beautiful.

Those are great! I love old books!. Some of my favourite cat books are the ones written by Deric Longden, “The Cat who came in from the Cold” etc. Gentle humour.
