New Careers For Cats On Labor Day
Happy Labor Day from our hard-working team who are sharing new careers for cats on Labor Day. We all have more than one job, how about you? Our Odin works 9 to 5 in the garden on rodent duty and by 5 he trots inside looking beat to hell. Layla always says, “Hard day at the office?”
Our friends at Furball Fables have a brand new “careers for cats” video which in itself is a very difficult job. My fellow Black Cats Tell All author, Buddha stars in many of their videos See the others in their cat careers series I could never do that kind of acting! All I do are videos for Instagram stories. Thank Bast, they only stay up for 24 hours and then vanish. Cats since the advent of the Internet have never worked harder! Excuse me, I have an important appointment. My 3 pm catnip inspection must be done before my catnap.
We’re keeping it light and short since our last post took forever to do but the resources will be be valuable for months and years ahead. Click if you haven’t seen how you can help Hurricane Harvey cats
Buy Black Cats Tell All to help #Harveycats To make a donation or to purchase our nonprofit book, we are donating 100% of net proceeds to disaster relief.
A thousand thank you purrs,
Clyde, Domino, Odin and Nou Nou
Angel growls at the garbagemen AND if the fire truck goes by! Guess that’s a job…
It sure is 🙂

A cat’s “job” is simply to be a cat…..enough said. Geez we have to be actors, acrobats, hunters, gatherers, guardians, supervisors, managers, inspectors, testers, cleaners, artists, babysitters, therapists, masseurs, scientists, weather forecasters, and on and on……isn’t that enough for one being to create in “labor”?

Yes, being just a cat is more than enough but humans always expect more.
Our cats inside do nothing but eat poop and get petted. Sometimes they like showing their butts to company as two did last night while hubby had his friends over to play cards. They are lazy sots. Oh and one likes to vomit and another to poop right when people come over. Lovely 🙂
The outside cats do a bit more. Punchy has been told he is famous, now he guards the back door and sleeps close by in the garden, the newbie Floki has joined forces (most times) with Itty and Jemmie to keep new cats out of bounds, and the kitten who is yet to be named is doing garden duty.
I hope you are feeling better and this Labor Day involved no labor at all but relaxation.
I hope your family, cats and you had a good Labor Day weekend. I hope you are feeling much better too.
Zoe’s always doing something around here. Neighborhood watch captain, kitchen snoopervisor, bird and squirrel overseer, etc. Gracie is a professional nap instructor.
That’s a cute video. I was snoopervising all day and now I’m tired.
Happy Labor Day! Cats have many jobs around here-gravity tester, alarm clock, etc. 🙂

LOL We had to laugh at Summer’s comment.
Ours work on the blog and I aim to feature them more. Cat Careers are the next big thing!
I enjoy being a working cat and supporting the other layabouts around here.

My cats don’t labor on Labor Day. But I labor for them 365 days a year! (366 days in leap years…) It’s a labor of love though.
Pipo says his work is to convince the peeps here to play with him all his waking hours…and also to swat the dog-guy’s schnooter, MOL!
Wonderful to watch. Truly wonderful.
Now that Ched and I are alone, we are happy as kitties with catnip, a warm bed, lots of food, TV, and warm blankets — each other. Who needs more? Not Ched nor I. We are happy together, so happy together.
Mao is in ATL with daughter. John is in Newton. Too bad. He loses. He has no cat. Nor any pet. .
