December Holidays For Cat Lovers Month

There was a time when Cat Herder’s Day was the only December cat holiday but no more.

Our annual calendar is updated with other holidays and events close to my heart. If your cats go squirrelly during the full moon, I like to include the astrological sign. This month the full moon is in mercurial Gemini. Expect cats and humans to be more restless, chatty and dare I say, festive?

The entire month is now National Cat Lovers Month. Yes, there is more fun like is your cat a Capricorn?

but December can be dangerous and even deadly for cats.

There are many expected and unexpected dangers and hazards.

I trot this out every year. Odin was a curious Gemini kitten. Thankfully, he outgrew his fascination for fire after singeing a whisker. And I’m more careful with candles.

How to spoil your cat

I don’t know what month my cats were born, so I don’t know their astrological sign. Picked up Hazelnut from the streets at age five weeks, and adopted Amiga and Princessa as grownups.

I wonder what is the astrological sign of cats who make numerous attempts on the vet’s life.

A whole month sometimes seems a lot, but is great to share throughout the year. I never realised about the tree needles! Not that we have a tree, but I bet many folks do and dont know. Thanks for a wonderful and cheery post.

Pipo and Minko were both born in December…Dec 26, and 29.
But they were as different as night and day, and not just in looks, LOL!

Sure is a lot of kiitty events this month.

Let us not get all overwhhelmed by it, esp our cats. (Or in my case my doggies).

December is my birth month so of course it is a wonderful month! I’ve never had a cat who was born in December. At least none that I know of. But I’m sure they thought all the celebrations were for them anyway!
