We’re in full Halloween mode here and what a lovely treat to get a package from Ellen at 15andMeowing. We’re posting our Halloween themed cards and graphics daily at our Black Cats Tell All page and Instagram, pinterest and Twitter. Sorry, everywhere but here.

There is no substitute for a cards arriving by mail and Ellen’s package made our week.There were black cat earrings (I’ll be wearing them tonight at the PawItForwardNYC fundraiser), Ellen’s hand crocheted catnip toys including her famous for her irresistible turkey leg, and what every cat lovers needs: a black cat welcome sign. Ellen loves black cats and her dear departed Spooky shares his story in Black Cats Tell All: True Tales and Inspiring Images.

With Halloween growing every year in popularity, it’s no surprise the vintage designs of Beistle, founded in 1900 is making reproductions of many their vintage designs. There are lots of original Beistle designs on the secondary market like Etsy and EBay.

Our new black cat welcome sign paves the way for the many more vintage and other Halloween goodies we’ll be sharing. Some here and especially at our Black Cats Tell All community page.

How nice to get a package from Miss Ellen!
We really don’t catabrate halloween here, but we do think its kind of fun to dress up in fun costumes or themed decor. But there are no things like that on display in our den, MOL!!And we live rather rurally so there never are kids doing trick or treating here…they go into the city where the pickings are closer together!

  I really can’t do much.They are not near my home but do have a good deal of field and brushy area to hide in plus one set is across from our Sheriff’s department…MOL.. smart kitties! They are pretty good at making themselves scarce. We try to feed early so they have time to eat and then vamoose! My close to home gang heads to the fields behind the house.

Love the turkey legs!
Those old graphics are so fun.
We dont get many Halloweeners which is actually OK by me. Sounds nutty but it isnt.
The colony used to be mostly black cats and I would stay up nights leading to Halloween worrying about them.
