Cat Sense — Now In Paperback & Giveaway
If you haven’t read Cat Sense, the New York Times bestseller and one of our favorite cat books, now you can choose between a hardcover or paper back. I confess to not being a fan of e-readers. There is no substitute for the full sensory experience of reading a real book. Hardcover is my first choice but for travel, even on the subway, I prefer the size and weight of a paperback. The lower price is a bonus. I reviewed Cat Sense: How The New Feline Science Can Make You a Better Friend To Your Cat last year (read our review) and interview with the author, John Bradshaw. When the publisher (Basic Books) send us a review copy of the paperback edition of Cat Sense it came with the usual press release. It was packed with blurbs of praise from major media outlets. To my surprise and delight it included ours. “Cat Sense paves the way for the greatest gift we can give our cats:learning what makes them tick….Cat Sense a well-researched reference book (chock-full of lovely illustrations) delves into fascinating insights into the feline mind from their physical evolution to the the present day….No one book encompasses all aspects of cats but Cat Sense is a valuable resource with plenty of food for thought about cats today and their future as a species.” Merlin, our senior feline reviewer agrees. Cats always like choices. Hardcover or paperback, Cat Sense makes good sense. To enter our Cat Sense giveaway, simply leave a comment before 11:59 pm EST, Sept.7, 2014. I did read “A Street Cat Named Bob” last week and was glad to hear there is another one coming out about him. I read about 2 books a week or more depending on size. Of course, cat books are best!

ConCats to the winners! I do agree that the full sensory experience of a “proper” book is the best thing, but I find my kindle is so much easier to hold when reading in bed! Also I read so much, it’s great to be able to download on a whim!! xx
