animals welcome-peg Kehret-book-review-giveaway

Odin (seen above) enjoying Animals Welcome, a memoir by noted children’s author and life long animal lover Peg Kehret. This book, her 47th, chronicles the joys and unexpected drama when a big heart, indomitable spirit and wild assortment of animals meet. The book is a collection of heart warming snapshots centered on animals from feral cats, blacks bears to peacocks. You just never know who is going to show up when the welcome mat is out and all animals are welcome!

Peg is the kind of person who not only faces adversity but wrestles it to the ground with a smile. She’s survived polio at the tender age of 12, and the loss of her husband after 48 years of marriage. When other people of retirement age opt for condos in Florida, Peg chose to move to a cabin in rural Washington State where she lives with Lucy, a dog and two cats, Dillon and Mr. Stray. A passionate animal advocate, the author works with the Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Project.

  2. Howdy just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The text in your content seem to be running off the screen in Opera. I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with web browser compatibility but I figured I’d post to let you know. The design and style look great though!
