50 Shades of Grey + The Nature of Animal Healing
50 Shades of Grey Cats? You’d have to be living in a dungeon not to know about the erotic Fifty Shades trilogy which taken the publishing world by storm. A staggering 10 million copies have been sold by a middle-aged, first time writer from London with the pen name E.L. James and film rights snapped up for 5 million. This is a perfect example of the power of readers to share by word of mouth. I blogged about one of the books in the trilogy today at my other blog the Boomer Muse
In cat related Mews & Mews, we’re happy to announce the winner of last week’s giveaway book, Cat Shots (which must have 50 shades of cats!) is Sparky4Ta. Congrats! Look for an email from Layla.
We’re always eager to read any book on feline holistic health we can get our paws on. It was an extra delight to finally read a book from a vet from our neck of the woods. Dr. Martin Goldstein, better known as Dr. Marty, treats the pets of many celebrities including Martha Stewart at his clinic with an integrated/holistic approach to veterinary medicine. His book, The Nature of Animal Healing: The Path To Your Pet’s Health, Happiness And Longevity espouses Dr. Marty’s belief in a mix of dietary supplements, glandulars, Western and Chinese herbs, homeopathy, flower remedies, and allopathic drugs as needed. His motto is “whatever works.” There is an excellent reference guide in the back of the book.

Our mom’s thought about Fifty Shades of Grey is “who the h*ll cares?” Well, apparently a lot of humans do, but she’s not one of them. Whatever floats your boat, is what we all say!
Now, that animal health book looks much more interesting to us all, thanks for that!

I think I’ve been living in a cave as I really hadn’t heard of 50 shades ……!!! Being someone who’s hair has gone through 50 shades of grey to get to white, I am guessing the trilogy is not about that!!!

The Woman just can’t get her head around the popularity of 50 shades of Gray. She might read it if it were about fifty grey cats!
