We’re delighted to announce winner of last week’s giveaway for a copy of Awkward Pet Photos is Katnip Lounge. Congratulations!

On a related note, I’d like to comment on winning versus success. I’m still floating from an extraordinary experience at the Cat Writers Association conference where I won an award for photography. More about the conference and the award tomorrow. We can’t always win and Odin would to share some Cat Wisdom 101 about success. We take that advice to heart. When we began Cat Wisdom 101, we didn’t know if we would win or succeed but we believed if we stayed true to our own style, we’d win. It means trying our best, being courageous to try new things, to go out on a limb while having fun. Our tagline is: to enlighten & entertain cat lovers everywhere. It’s the rudder that keeps us on track. If you ever feel we’re sailing off in the wrong direction, don’t hesitate to let us know. We do this for you, the cat lover.

What a wonderful premise Layla and one I wholeheartedly agree with. Congratulations on the win – the photo was stunning and I am still floating from my own high – meeting you at the CWA Conference was everything I had envisioned and so much more. You are an absolute treasure and I enjoyed our time together so much. The world really is our oyster, it’s just how you perceive the journey…
