Santa Sunday Selfies, 2015 Cat Calendars and Book Winners

It’s Selfie Sunday with or without cats or Santa. Do you know where your cat is? I know a bunch of our kitty friends are on the Sunday Selfie Blog Hop. Scroll down for the linkies and join in. Can you believe 2015 is around the corner? Beside my desk hangs the I Could Pee on This wall calendar. When December arrived, I wondered which calendars to hang in the new year. I like to use one by my office desk, a desk calendar, one in the kitchen and one in the second office upstairs. Luckily, we already had the 2015 Whiskerslist desk calendar from our friend Angie Bailey. Odin graces one day in March so it was no-brainer choice.

Our friend Chris Poole send us the Cole and Marmalade calendar of the funny cat video stars which we love. Dear ginger boy Marm was diagnosed cancer and the 2015 calendar is a fundraiser for vet bills. The BEST news is Marmalade is in remission. We think the power of love helped. We had giveaway calendar from the delightfully quirky black cat AC. Ya gotta love a calendar named The World’s Most Super Amazing 100% Awesome and it is. Visit artist Kate Funk at her Etsy shop and see all her awesome goods.

That left one more calendar location to fill. After finding out the I Could Pee on This book reached the 500,000 copies sold milestone, I reached out to author Francesco Marciuliano. Both his cat and kitten books are on the NY Times bestseller list today. It’s what every writer dreams of and in this case, it couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. We often pm on Facebook and I wanted to congratulate him. He truly is one the most gracious writers I know. His publisher, Chronicle Books usually ships me whatever I like but in this case, I’ll be getting a new calendar directly from Mr. I Could Pee On This himself. So, it’s look like 2015 will be filled with a whole lot of quirky humor at our home.

We used to have our own calendar featuring the Cat Wisdom 101 boys but since we’d like to sell more than three copies, we stopped making them. However, there will be a special and more official 2016 calendar. Stay tuned for more details.
