Cat Wisdom 101 Top Cat Merlin Celebrates 20th Birthday
Merlin, our top cat is celebrating his 2Oth birthday today but Merlin Week continues into the weekend. His fundraiser is on until Oct.20. Many purrs of thanks for your contributions so far.
How does a cat celebrate his 20th birthday? Any way he wants. You can be sure he won’t be wearing a birthday hat.
His devoted cat bros. Domino and Odin toiled all day in the garden harvesting fresh catnip as a gift.

Awwww Merlin your amazing age of 20 is bittersweet for me as it brings on many feelings and memories of my Ms. Phoebe who went to the Bridge earlier this year, not long after your loving brother Gris Gris. Your perseverance to live life to its fullest reminds me of Phoebe, who may not have lived as long as you but she lived to be as old and her own right. When she was diagnosed at age 3 with her auto immune disease I was told she would be lucky to live to be six or seven but she showed everyone differently and lived to be 13 1/2 years, which was an extraordinary length of life for her.
Just as your spectacular twenty years of life with your Mom Layla is a most precious gift to her, Phoebe’s almost fourteen miraculous years were the same to me.
I hope your special day brought much joy and this 20th year of life is the best yet. It is an honor to witness this journey and we thank you and Layla for generously sharing such a personal experience with your friends and admirers. Purrs of love sweet, magical mancat,
