TGIF Feline Friday
TGIF it’s Feline Friday and the beginning of a long weekend to say good-bye summer. Even though it’s summer warm, the light is shifting and the days are growing shorter. All the cats are hungering to spend as much time as possible outdoors and we’re indulging them. The entire Cat Wisdom101 team has been frolicking to their heart’s content since Irene cleared out. Odin understands the concept of up and down, whether it’s trees or falling leaves.
This was the gang yesterday…running, leaping, exploring and chilling. Lots of pair-bonding with felines and humans. Playing outdoors in a safe supervised area with your cats allows for a bonding experience unlike any other.
I’ll be writing more about indoor versus outdoor cats at tomorrow’s Cat Saturday and tips for keeping your cat safe outdoors.
Hope your holiday weekend is the cat’s meow.

Wishing you and the furries a wonderful holiday weekend. Hard to believe that summer is almost over.

Great collage! Yes we need our kitties to be safe. Austin hardly ever crosses the (quietish) road in front the house, except this time of year when there are no sheep in the field opposite. Heart in mouth time!!

Crossing any roads would make heart stop. Purrs to Austin to stay safe. All our guys are trained not to go within fifty feet of the road.

Layla, thanks for your comment on my blog. I’ve taken note of what you say. Austin usually doesn’t go over the road, just this time of year when there are no sheep in the field and he feels more adventurous. As he spent much of his early months on the street, I know I couldn’t keep him indoors, even if I wanted to. I just have to trust his survival instincts …. and pray!

Enjoy the last of your summer days, while I shall look forward to mine. Not that our winter is so bad. Thanks for coming by to help me celebrate. Please visit again soon.

I lubbed seeing Odin go UPPPPP and DOWNNNNNN! What fun! And on a REAL tree, too!

One of his favorite things is to race about 6 to 8 feet up and right down again. Needless to say he rarely scratches a post indoors.
