New! Hill’s Ideal Balance Cat Food is a Natural
Balance in all things is the secret to a happy, healthy life for humans and pets. Hill’s, known since 1939 for its Science Diet has launched a natural pet food line. Given our holistic bent, we were eager to test the NEW Hill’s® Ideal Balance™grain-free line of cat food with no corn, wheat, soy, artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.
Formulating a new Natural Cat Food line is no easy task. Hills worked with pet nutritionists including Kathy Gross who graces the packaging.
I’m thrilled with their new Velcro closing. It’s the best thing since sliced bread!
Hills asked what pet parents most wanted to see in their cat food. The answer was a formula containing no grains, fresh fruits, vegetable and meat-based protein and so Hill’s
created a purr-fect balance with over 50 nutrients for both wet and dry food. And because pets love treats, they created seven new varieties of grain-free Ideal Balance treats will feature quality natural ingredients like chicken, tuna, lamb, duck, beef, apricots, carrots and other fruits and vegetables. Our boys went nuts over Crunchy Naturals with Real Tuna.
Hill’s believes that a healthy balance extends beyond food to include our whole life, ours and our fur kids. That means a balance between work, play and rest. We couldn’t agree more.
Merlin, who is pushing 19, easily scarfed down the small, round pieces of Natural Chicken and Brown Rice Formula but since he usually eats wet food, preferred the Poached Salmon Recipe I was amazed how good it smelled. Whether you feed your cat dry, wet or any combo, Hill’s has an ideal balance of nutrition. Guaranteed or your money back!
Our suggestion: Some cats will vomit when introducing a new food, especially dry formulas. Introduce a new food gradually. Over the course of a week, add a little more new food every day to the old food while reducing the old food until it’s all new food.

Auch zur späten Stunde sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Ich war echt am verzweifeln, da ich meinen Schlüssel vergessen hatte und morgens sehr früh wieder raus musste.

Have you ever considered about adding a little bit more than just your
articles? I mean, what you say is important and all.
However just imagine if you added some great visuals or videos to give your
posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with pics and
videos, this blog could certainly be one of the most beneficial in its field.
Terrific blog!

Must admit that I’m skeptical about about any dry food meeting the needs of an obligate carnivore, and even more skeptical about Hill’s.

That stuff sounds pretty good! We just may have to give it a try. 🙂

Layla I am sorry. I didn’t know your mom was sick. Hope she feels better soon. I will have to give this type of food a try. If Merlin likes it it has to taste good.

This is really good news!!!!

We truly hope to see more companies going to grain free especially for our little carnivores! Cats are just simply not designed to be vegetarian and certainly not vegan!
We hope that your Mom is doing ok! We know how stressful life can be when something goes awry with a loved one that is aging. We send our purrs and prayers to you both.

Thanks so much! She’s still in the hospital and we’re all lying low today.

We’re glad to see that Hills is finally making grain-free. Hopefully grain free cat foods will catch on with more catsumers!
Fuzzy Tales
Guess they finally had to jump on the grain-free bandwagon, after all these years of promoting food that’s 40-50% grains for obligate carnivores. It’s long overdue, IMO. Maybe we’ll see more vets starting to understand the words “obligate carnivore” too. Well, I can dream. Ha.

Milou is eating Hill’s C/D because of his urinary problems. Okay K and I do sometimes steal some of his food (but just to check whether it is good for Milou) so we might try this one. Your presentation is attracting to our human =^.^=
