Cats and Fog
The fog comes on little cat feet. It sits looking over harbor and city on silent haunches and then moves on.
Carl Sandberg wrote the classic poem about fog and cats but it’s our first time posting a photo of Odin in the fog and what he taught me.
I posted images of Odin yesterday as the fog was lifting but here he is in the thick of it. I’d been examining damage from Hurricane Sandy in a secluded corner of our property but Odin, head cocked and ready to play, could not have cared less. Cats being my every day teachers, taught me that day to move on like the fog. You might enjoy my related post with a motivational photo quote de jour at my other blog, Boomer Muse. What has your cat taught you lately?

I’m impressed, I have to admit. Genuinely rarely should i encounter a weblog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you may have hit the nail about the head. Your idea is outstanding; the problem is an element that insufficient persons are speaking intelligently about. I am delighted we came across this during my look for something with this.

Wow! Thank you! I permanently needed to write on my website something like that. Can I include a portion of your post to my site?

Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied on the video to make your point. You clearly know what youre talking about, why throw away your intelligence on just posting videos to your blog when you could be giving us something enlightening to read?

Oooh I like the picture!
I try to teach my human plenty of things (like petting me a little more everyday, opening our food containers more quickly) but she doesn’t take practicing seriously :-/

It was foggy this morning when I took the dogs out. Kozmo ran along the front of our neighbors’ houses shrouded in bushes and fog.
I did not realize he was there until he crossed the street!
That same poem went through my head! I was surprised as we still have lots and deep snow, yet when he sprang out on the road, not a hair was out of place, not a speck of snow. Today I learned cats are teflon!

the fog was gorgeous yesterday (so long as you’re sitting inside, watching fog and cats, and not, you know, driving or anything landing airplanes or anything like that). Still, I love the quiet and the cat-feet-ness of it all.

Hmm, our cats have taught me exactly how they like their cushions! I am busy making different cushions and they let me know just what they like, and don’t like. Best testers 🙂

Odin is such a strong and true manly man mancat, he reminds me a lot of my fur brofur Kaspars. They even look alike sporting white fur suits with charcoal grey splotches, I’m sure Odin is not nearly as annoying though! MOL!
We cats are wise and supremely intelligent teachers who could rule the world if we wanted to, but most of us are content to rule over our human household instead- this is a tireless, endless job in itself. My Mom is a fair student who can rise to very satisfactory on a good day, but I have yet to award her an above average grade. Perhaps if she served Albacore tuna in my saucer on a daily basis I would be willing to consider it…perhaps.
boomermuse
Yes, it is an endless job but glad to hear you’re giving your mom a passing grade!

My mom is my student too and she have no school holiday…tee…heh…heh

Mr. Puddy, we know what you mean. A break would be nice 😉

Oh the fog. I was driving in the thick of bad fog on Saturday night. Worst I’ve seen here = ever. Very dangerous.
Odin sure looks cute, though.
