Mondays With Merlin: Remember Me Thursday
It’s Merlin here and I have something to tell you. You may think I have a good home and I do, but Layla didn’t adopt me until I was one-year-old. After a rough start, I ended up in shelter. It was a big, noisy and scary place with small metal cages. I got lucky and got adopted but millions of perfectly wonderful cats and dogs aren’t so lucky. To honor those who lost their lives though no fault of their own, I’d like to ask you remember them and do something so their lives weren’t in vain.
No matter where you live you can participate in Remember Me Thursday (website and video link) the pet adoption awareness campaign when animal lovers across the globe unite Thursday, September 26 to light a candle in remembrance of the millions of orphan pets who lost their lives without the benefit of a loving home, and to shine a light on the millions of orphan pets still waiting for their forever homes.”
Let’s shine the light of awareness. Please share this post and spread the word about Remember Me Thursday on Facebook, Twitter and other social media channels. Remember to use the hashtag #LIGHTFORPETS on Twitter or Facebook to share your thoughts and feelings about the importance of pet adoption.

Every single furbaby deserves a forever home. We as humans create the problem by not being responsible pet owners and by turning a blind eye to too many things. We CAN make it CHANGE!!! We have the POWER!!!
We will remember.
Luvs to All and purrs and prayers as always for all those that are in need.

It breaks my heart to think about cats and dogs who went to RB before having forever homes on their own. I hope the event leads to more adoptions and raise awareness.

I had some tears in my eyes while reading that so many pets die before they find their furever home. Thnks to ASPCA and all who help to make this cold world a little bit warmer.

What a wonderful adoption event. It breaks our hearts to know so many wonderful animals don’t have a home to call their own or family to love.
But in turn, every single adoption warms our hearts.
We hope the adoption event results in LOTS of new forever homes.
