Best 2025 Pet Calendars Chosen By Cats

If you love cats, sharing makes us purrrr :-)

The blog Best 2025 Pet Calendars Chosen by Cats was hijacked by my cats, Odin and Otto. Apologies in advance.

As distinguished feline lifestyle consultants (and professional lap warmers), we feel compelled to share our expertise on one of the most important decisions you’ll make this year: selecting the perfect pet calendar. While my humans think we’re napping in our favorite sunbeam, we’re actually conducting extensive research on this crucial topic.

Wall Calendars: The Height of Sophisticated Home Decor

Let’s start with wall calendars, the crown jewel of any well-appointed home. As any cat knows, these serve multiple purposes:

1. Daily reminders of our majestic beauty
2. Strategic planning tools for scheduling naps
3. Convenient bird-watching stations when mounted near windows

The Travel Cats is particularly noteworthy, featuring twelve months of dignified felines in various states of repose. My colleagues particularly enjoy the February spread where a tabby poses atop a sun warmed boulder with a divine sea view.

Now, we must address the… *ahem*… dog calendars. While we maintain professional objectivity, we find it amusing that these calendars often feature our canine counterparts in various states of undignified excitement.

However, we acknowledge that some households require these as comic relief. Just please don’t hang them above the cat calendar – we have standards to maintain.

Btw, all the calendars are from Workman (Amazon link)

Page-A-Day: A Daily Dose of Delight

The page-a-day calendar format offers unique advantages for the discerning pet enthusiast. Each morning brings a fresh image to admire, though we must confess a certain mischievous pleasure in watching my humans scramble to catch up after we’ve helpfully batted several pages to the floor overnight.

Our favorites are the 365 Calendar and we highly recommend Cat Trivia for daily fun facts because you silly hoomins can never be as smart as us cats, but you can try.

Speaking of mischief, let’s discuss bird calendars. *Odin adjusts whiskers professionally* As a certified expert in aerial wildlife observation, I find these particularly… entertaining. They serve as excellent hunting practice simulators and make wonderful birthday gifts for your favorite feline friend. Just don’t be surprised if you find teeth marks in May’s red cardinal, hehehe…

Essential Dates to Mark

Any respectable pet calendar requires proper annotation of the following celebrations:

– National Cat Day (October 29) – A holiday of appropriate grandeur
– International Cat Day (August 8) – Because one day isn’t enough
– National Pet Day (April 11) – We graciously share this with lesser species
– Your cat’s birthday AND Gotcha Day – Both deserve separate celebrations
– National Hairball Awareness Day (Last Friday in April) – A solemn occasion
– Answer Your Cat’s Questions Day (January 22) – Though frankly, you should be doing this daily

Pro tip: Use a special marker for these occasions. My humans use purple, which coincidentally matches my favorite velvet bed.

Calendar Management Tips

For optimal calendar enjoyment, we recommend:

– Mounting wall calendars at proper cat-viewing height (ignore human convenience)
– Keeping page-a-day calendars secured against “accidental” paw swipes
– Adding stickers for vet appointments (though I prefer you forget these)
– Noting feeding schedules (as if we’d let you forget)

A Final Note

While some may dismiss pet calendars as mere novelties, we feline connoisseurs understand their true value. They’re not just time-keeping devices – they’re daily reminders of the proper order of the household (cats first, naturally).

Remember, a home without a cat calendar is like a cardboard box without a cat – technically functional, but missing its true purpose.

About the Authors: Mr. Odin and Professor Otto hold honorary degrees in Calendar Studies from the prestigious Feline University of Nap Sciences. When not writing, they can be found conducting important research on sunbeam migration patterns, competitive tree climbing and the acoustic properties of 3 AM meows.
