Are All Cats Zen Masters?
It’s Monday, so that means it’s Mondays with Merlin, your host, a meezer geezer whose been around the block a few times, so listen up. My mom, Layla thinks I’m a Zen master, but I think I’m too chatty to be one. I do come up with some good ideas though on my meanderings in the garden. I visit my usual haunts and favorite sniffing spots.
Being in nature is relaxing and what my mom calls food for the soul. It’s very satisfying to notice small things like how birds build nests, twig by twig or how the sun shines through a leaf and leaves a shadow. Light and shadow go hand in hand. Does my shadow make me look fat or larger than life? And do you think all cats are Zen masters?

Merlin, that is a very wise saying about shadows.
We received the prize necklace from Wendy Christensen – thank you to you and her! Tuesday’s blog post is all about it.

We think Cats are born Zen masters, that is, when they aren’t running around like their tails are on fire!

I do not know about Zen masters but likely we are all wise in our own ways.

Merlin’s the master of Zen.

Merlin, you look terrific. And we have to agree, there is nothing better than Mother nature which is why I like my kitties to be outside even though it is dangerous but so is life.
We are sending lots and lots of purrs to LingLing. Hope she is all right. Take care.

What a wise cat you are Merlin. I do think all cats have a bit of Zen master in them; some more than others. They seem to understand nature’s workings in a way we THINK we can but don’t and they see all, hear all, smell all and just KNOW. Even a non-cat lover should appreciate that!
