I survived Grumpy Cat’s #Grumpybirthday

If you love cats, sharing makes us purrrr :-)

Last night in New York City, I was one of 125 lucky cat lovers to party with Grumpy Cat at her 2nd birthday bash hosted by Friskies Party Mix. I survived the party and this is the grumpiest I got.

Sorry, it’s hard to get a frown on with an open bar, fab food, sweet swag bags, a DJ, magician, balloon maker, photo booth, and yeah a talented face painter. Then my cat blogger pal Tamar from I Have Cat dared me to my face catified. I had to take a train home to conservative suburbia and thought twice about looking silly but she said she’d blog about it so I said, game on! This what I love about NYC. I walked a few blocks, couldn’t get a cab and ended up taking the subway to Grand Central. A doorman said I looked nice. A few men made meow cat calls but most of people were either as nonplussed as Grumpy Cat or friendly and curious. I ended up having a great convo on the train with two cat lovers I would have normally never have spoken to. So thank-you,Tamar, Friskies and Grumpy Cat.

The birthday girl was adorably cucumber cool as usual and I did a short private interview with her and Bryan and Tabby Bundesen before the party started (subject of another post). Best of all, I got to hold her after the party winded down. So much happened at the party my head is still spinning. For now I leave you with a few pics. Oh and Merlin was right about me coming home smelling of another cat. (see yesterday’s post). Do I look guilty in the last photo? Time for another cat meme?

It’s also time for another blog hop. Plus I’ll be speaking at Blogpaws conference next week!
