Celebrities Toss Tidy Cats Litter at Pre-Emmys Party

If you love cats, sharing makes us purrrr :-)

Ah the things celebrities do to get in the limelight. At least it was for a good cause. Emmy nominees Ed O’Neill of Modern Family, Dot Marie Jones of Glee, and Tony Hale of Veep, Matt Leblanc, Dennis Quaid, Willie Garson, Yvette Nicole Brown of Community and Matthew Moy of 2 Broke Girls and others stopped by the Tidy Cats LightWeight Litter Toss at the W Hotel Hollywood to prove that new Tidy Cats LightWeight 24/7 Performance is so light… you can toss it. Each tossed a jug of the new litter, which is 50% lighter than regular cat litter, to raise funds for the spcaLA animal welfare organization.

Ed channeled his inner kitty. Yvette didn’t break a sweat. Dennis was a good sport and Matt wins my prize for “looking cool while tossing cat litter”. He can lug litter to my house any day! Photos courtesy of Cone Communications.

Every toss triggered a $100 donation to the spcaLA, which Tidy Cats will donate up to $10,000.

Last week a gorgeous, glossy gift box arrived at my door. I was expecting cat food samples (so what else is new?) but when I opened it up I smiled. No one does marketing packaging better than Purina. And yes, it was the NEW Tidy Cats® LightWeight 24/7 Performance®. It really is lighter thanks to a combo of clay and natural, odor-absorbing lightweight minerals. The double handles make it easier to carry, pour and store. It’s 99.9% dust free, with light, tight clumps but sorry, Matt Leblanc is not included.

There is no book review/giveaway this week but we do have two winners for our LIL BUB book giveaway. Congratulations to Julia Williams and Katnip Lounge. You are our lucky winners. Look for an email from Layla requesting your shipping address.

I’m reading the one of the best new nonfiction books about cats I’ve come across in a long time. It’s so good and chock-full of facts about cats I’d never heard of, I’m underlining on almost every page. That said, it’s taking me forever to finish and I want to interview the author so hang tight.

I know I’d rather be reading today. How about you?
