Aquarian Cats For Peace

If you love cats, sharing makes us purrrr :-)
It’s the age of Aquarius and the future is meow if Aquarian Cats have their way.

Ancient astrologers thought the zodiac sign Aquarius embodied the novel, the newly invented or inventive. This is why this sign and the Age of Aquarius is linked strongly to technology and social media. Aquarius is also an air sign, the sign of communicative and data and information gathering. It’s a sign of the visionary, creative lovers of peace but can rebellious or radical too. Aquarius’ job is to challenge authority, look at new methods, be open to sudden changes, thanks to being ruled by Uranus, the planet of surprise.

What about Aquarian cat? Is the Aquarius cat a radical anarchist keeping pet parents on their toes with subversive cat videos or an inspiration the makes the world a better place? The age of Aquarius will last 1260 years ushering in harmony and peace. The idea of peace and letting the sun shine in happens one person, one cat at a time. Who better than cats to be ambassadors for meaningful change to truly make a difference in the world? The unique hairless Sphinx breed ( our meowdel ) is quirky Aquarian purrfection.

We first blogged about feline astrology in 2012 and since then a groundswell of feline astrology sites have popped up which may confirm the feline age of Aquarius is here. It’s not all love and peace but offers a deeper understanding into the complex personalities of cats. Check out our primer on the topic and the first sign of the Zodiac, Aries.

Do you have an Aquarian cat?

The 11th sign of the zodiac is Aquarius the water bearer. Their element is air and they’re ruled by the wacky planet Uranus. Aquarian Cats are born January 20 to February 18 and can be summed up in one word: quirky. No matter what they look like physically, an Aquarius kitty has a certain je ne sais quoi air of uniqueness. It might be a unique mark on their tail, the way they slink around corners or wink at you but you just know this cat has purrsonality to spare.

All cats are curious but Aquarius is curious on speed dial. Uranus rules all things techie, so don’t be surprised if your Aquarian cat has made your cell phone his latest toy not to mention your computer mouse. They like watching TV, iPads and playing laser tag. They need stimulation and play to stave off boredom or their curious minds may lead then to nibble on electrical wires. Keep all wires, cables and electric outlets protected and in good working order.

What is under the rug? Where is my food? Why can’t I have catnip every day? Who is ceiling cat? Why doesn’t water flow from the taps all the time? Inquiring cats want to know. NOW. Aquarian kitties like keeping an eye on things from an airy aerie, the higher the better. Build a super cat highway from shelves near the ceiling running across two or more walls.

Aquarius cats are philosophers, talkers, intellectual thinkers and schemers. If they can’t figure out how to operate a can opener no one can. Blogging or hobnobbing on Instagram is their ideal occupation. They look good in bow ties and like sparkly toys.

Let the sun shine in is the Aquarian cats motto and they’ll happily share a sun puddle with almost anyone. Open minded and accepting, they don’t mind sharing their home with another cat, a dog or even an iguana. In their live and let live attitude, they aren’t fussy about their food or sharing toys but if a mouse comes their way all bets are off. Open and snuggly one minute, their moods can shift like the wind. Then, it’s bye-bye Buddy, and they go all Greta Garbo with a “I vant to be alone.” mood. If you can accept him for all his quirks, you’ll be rewarded with one very cool cat, who just might help save the world with Peace, Love & Purrs.
