Cat Out of the Bag: Layla Morgan Wilde Wins CWA Award
This is Merlin of Mondays With Merlin and the cat is out of the bag. I’m delighted to my mom, Layla Morgan Wilde won a Muse Medallion award from the Cat Writers’ Association for best color photography. She tied with Sparkle Cat AKA Janiss Garza.
It was cool Layla met her favorite cat bloggers and new pals like Catsparella, Covered in Cat Hair, Catladyland Zee & Zoe and old pals like Ingrid King from The Conscious Cat but… who cares about gala dinners, lunch with her agent, deals, meals, opportunities, fun with fellow cat writers…yes, it’s true. Nothing is more fun than a being in room full of cat writers. But, so what? I missed my mom. I’m feeling under the weather and just wanted to cuddle with my her. When you get to be seventeen, every minute counts.
Not even the Santa sack of kitty swag she came home cheered me up.

Merlin – Gotta admit we don’t care either that your Mom won that award, although our human is quite proud of Layla and loves the photo of Domino that won her the award. We gave our Mom the usual bored cold shoulder when she came home from the show to let her know we barely knew she was gone… however, when she dumped all the kitty loot on the floor, even our toughest critic, Zoey, could not resist all the nip and feline fancy.
We hope you feel better Merlin. Your human was thinking of you the whole time she was gone and loves you VERY MUCH.
