Swing Into Summer: Pyramid Giveaway

Thank-you to everyone who entered our giveaway for an amazing NVR Miss

Congratulations Nancy Lemmons-Grijalva! You are our winner! Look for a email from Layla. This was one of our most successful giveaways but please include a valid email address when leaving a comment. It’s the only way we can locate the winner. We never, ever sell or use emails.

We have a really cool giveaway for something so fun and different we weren’t sure how our testers would react. We received a combo kitty bed/hangout/perch called The Pyramid from Sturdi Products. For our testing purposes we hung it low indoors but for the summer we’ll be hanging it from a hook on our covered porch for a swinging good time!

Odin, our intrepid tester wasted no time checking out the goods. Gris Gris looked on in amazement.

The Pyramid offers your pet a safe, fun place to literally “hang out”  as a lookout perch or cozy spot for catnaps. It’s like sitting in a tree! The hanging Pyramid moves with your cat swinging gently in a hammock. Indoors you can hang it from doorway, awning, window or from a hook on the ceiling. Indoor/outdoor cats have many options from screened in or covered porch/decks or even from a tree limb. Creative DIY types, let me know of some other ideas where The kitty Pyramid might be placed.

Designed for safe use up to 30 pounds.

Athletic cats like Odin have no trouble jumping on board even from a greater height. The swaying movement may startle for a while but then curiosity takes over. For less athletic or nervous cats, I’d suggest placing a chair or scratching post /perch for a “leg up” once the pyramid is raised to higher spot.

After sniffing out every corner of the corner, Odin settled into his new aerie. We suggest keeping the door unzipped.

  1. Hi Layla,

Congratulations to the winner of the last drawing for the NVR Miss.

Wow, that tent hammock is super cool. It’s so different from other cat furniture that I bet your cats really love it. I know mine would. What could be more relaxing than a tent hammock?

I love laying in hammocks myself.

  3. not sure if mine was one of the valid ones or not.
I would love for China to have her own space with this lovely pyramid!

If there is something else I need to add could you let me know?

  4. Congrats to Nancy on her win!!
This looks soooooooooooooo cool we think we might like to win one!!! Snoodles Skeeter and Izzy >^OO^<

    • Thanks for the food for thought. This might actually be a fun way to reframe the negative vet-going experience with something fun.

  5. Awesome! Would love to try this out by our back door! I love your line “We suggest keeping the door unzipped.” That struck me as quite funny. Love you, Layla, and all you do for our feline friends. <3

  6. I’m currently taking care of Simba, who gets to go for a walk on his leash three times a day, but I think he’d love this hanging in his favorite spot in the front window.

  7. That is so cute! My little “princess” would love it! She could look down on her kingdom of 3 male peasants!!

  8. The door zipping closed would be great for the foster kittens…keep them all safely confined, but able to ingress/egress when momma-kitty is around!!!
