Who Is That Mystery Cat Man?
We’ve gone fishing. Not really but too crazy busy with an exciting new project to do a giveaway today. Instead we give you a puzzle to solve. I love things vintage with cats and fell in love with this cat man. I’ve cleaned up and edited the cabinet photo. He’s English and judging from his clothing maybe from Edwardian era. I will say the gentleman is not famous but is clearly a cat lover. What else can you determine? For over a hundred years, it’s been common the see cat ladies or children photographed with their cats but not men. What’s your guess about his profession and what’s so special about his cat? The classic tabby cat looks male to me. Photography in those days required enormous patience and both the man and his cat appear relaxed as they both stare directly into the camera.
What’s their story? And do you believe true gentlemen love cats?

Layla, he is a man of wealth, having the tailored clothing and well fed cat. He was the 3rd Earl of Felinedom and the beauty on his lap was his most trusted advisor. He was a man given to deep thoughts and had a definite philisophical bent. His companion and cat advisor was the one that kept him humble and dedicated to all those that lived in his Earldom. He never married because the one true and undying love of his life did in fact pass from this life before their nuptials could take place. This is what gives him the hint of a faraway look in his eyes. He knows that his advisor communicates with her on a level that he cannot and it brings him both sadness and comfort in his passing years. He is a kind and gentle man else his advisor would not sit so still and peaceful upon his lap. He seeks to help all animals that he encounters and he is much loved by all those that meet him. He is quiet and gentle and soft spoken unless he sees an injustice or cruelty being forced upon another. He then becomes someone else entirely and will defend any and all that are being hurt or treated badly in any way. This is why his dear advisor and companion Sir Richard the Lionheart (aka Fuzzy Pants) adores him so and is commited to serving him faithfully in his role as companion and trusted advisor.
