Merlin is taking a break from Mondays With Merlin to share Mancat Monday: Where the Wild Cats Are aka the Wilde cats since it is their last name. We’ve received some emails inquiring how Domino, our former feral is doing since we haven’t posted anything about him lately. He’s fine, maybe a little too fine. He’s gained some weight but our vet assures us he’s not obese. I’ll let the photos (taken yesterday) speak for themselves. Domino, made the transition from living on our porch for seven years to sleeping indoors in our bed last year. He’s the poster child for how far a feral cat can transform with love and trust. All feral cats should have his good fortune or at least more support.

Domino is also our poster boy for National Vet Tech Week. Check our poster of him at our Facebook page A special vet tech named Lisa helped trap him so he could be neutered. Domino might miss his family jewels but doesn’t miss cold winter nights outdoors.

We are so so very happy everytime we see Domino! He just has the appearence of an intact male that was neutered long after maturity with just a touch of xtra meat on his bones from the good life. He is absolutely beautiful. We wish this blessing on all the kitties everywhere without a home whether feral or not.

You’re too kind. He has the biggest head and fattest cheeks I’ve ever seen. It’s the jowly cheeks unneutered male cats develop. He wasn’t neutered until he was 7!
