The Magic Leprechaun Cat – Book Review & Giveaway

Sometimes I just can’t wait to share a book. With a theme of cats and leprechauns I thought I’d wait until closer to St. Patrick’s Day to share, but then I began to read it. Irish Holiday Fairy Tales is the brainchild of self-described crazy cat lady, Karen Lynch who gives full writing credit to her Finn McCool, the magic leprechaun cat.

Many stories are narrated by fictional cats but Finn McCool, is a real ginger tabby cat who Karen rescued five years ago as a feral kitten.

Finn weaves his feline magic storytelling with such charm you’ll believe every word of his tales about St. Patrick’s Day, Halloween and Christmas based on Irish folktales. Uniquely illustrated book with photo montage by Cheyenne Booker, it will enchant cat lovers of any age.

Not only is Finn an international award-winning storyteller but he’s the spokescat for cats Karen Lynch’s feral cat initiative, Florida Cause For Paws.

Profits from Irish Holiday Fairy Tales, published in Ireland, benefits Animal Care Society and supports Florida Cause for Paws. This is a book that keeps on giving. For more about the remarkable Ms. Lynch, visit her at her website

Gris Gris gives it a 4 Paws Rating

What a wonderful book and wonderful project. I love anything to do with cats. I have been fortunate to have known four cats in my life, from when I was Six years old until last year.

Cats are wonderful, they should run the world.
