Julia's Cats-book- review-giveaway

I fell in love all over again with Julia Child after reading a new book, Julia’s Cats: Julia Child’s Life in the Company of Cats about her love of cats. Long before the spate of celebrity chefs and cooking shows, Julia Child ruled kitchens around the world with her TV shows and cookbooks. The gentle giant of the cooking world with her signature gawky charm and drawled, “Bon Appetit!” gathered a fresh audience with the success of the book and film Julie and Julia, but who knew she was a cat lady?

In 1948, Julia, a late blooming newlywed at age 36 moved to Paris with her devoted cat-loving husband Paul. Soon after she acquired her first cat which began a love affair with cats until the day she died at age 92. Paul often photographed Julia and their cats and many of those images are in the book. The authors Patricia Barey and Therese Burson have skillfully woven a narrative of Julia’s three big loves: cooking, Paul and cats and spans their years from France to California where Julia eventually retired. This book is sure to charm both cat lovers and kitchen goddesses alike.

I received a publicist sent copy of the book.
